Chronically depressed software engineer questioning everything.
With everything going on lately, I can't help but notice that people with a history of trauma are faring a bit better. Knowledge that you have to keep going gives a perspective people need to hold onto.

I started to connect the wires for my custom backlighting on my office display shelf, but just snapped on the connectors and plugged it in, and... nothing.

Turns out the data line wire was thin enough to pierce and make a connection, but the current lines were not.
I feel a bit silly.

I need to take a react app, create a debian package, and install it into a private repo. Then, create a second pipeline to retrieve it from the repo and install the files into blob storage.

I do not control the make process nor the debian structure.

No endpoint was created.

How is your day?

Just got locked out of a financial account because they still use personal questions; I have no idea what I said. After resetting, I was reminded that almost all of their questions are experiences I do not have, so I have to pick really innocuous things I will never remember.

Great security...😪

Going forward, I am going to ask every potential employer what the name of their trunk is in their repositories, and they answer master or they don't know, I am gonna walk.

There is so much you can tell about leadership at a company that hasn't made this simple change.

I do so love mandatory in-office days so I can put on headphones and try to drown out my coworker's random conversations. I do not care to eavesdrop on them, and I am incapable of tuning it out.
