Scott had some difficult times, I believe, and - unlike some other stalled series' authors - was very clear about communicating with his fan base, which I really admire. He seems to be a thoroughly excellent human.

That's a completely fair and accurate comment, damn it. I do have a tendency to conflate "dark" with "good", though happily I can enjoy plenty of light things too.

I think it's a surprisingly adult film about a couple of central figures with pretty deep trauma handling it badly. It'll never be in my top handful of MCU films, but I think it's a very great deal better than many people seem to.

To me, and, I very strongly suspect, you, an extra tenner a day might be pleasant but it won't change my life. For people who can barely put food on the table for the people they love, it absolutely will change their lives.
