5/6. A relatively non-agricultural solution by my standards…

Lovely. 2:1.

Here’s the other one. The key fact is, if you move one point of a triangle parallel to its opposite side, the area doesn’t change. So the triangle transforms twice to be half the medium square, that is ten (since the medium square is four small squares).

The radius is also 4, so the area is 8pi.

It's also my birthday (50). Here's Freya in her favourite place and pose.

Mid second play of Flamecraft. Loving this game - simple to learn, plenty of depth, only positive and constructive interactions, and just absurdly cute.

Colleagues kindly gave me a Zatu voucher as a wedding present. The Big Damn Box really _is_, good lord.

The Car Wars 6e box came with a couple of hundred build cards and a dozen cars, and so my all-the-extras collection was spread over a wide area. A 3d printer and thirty or forty hours of design and print later, it's all in the core box. Satisfying.

Playing my first game of Battletech in at least 30 years and possibly ever (I played enough games as a teen to not be sure), against myself. All heavies, and I haven't rolled a single crit, which is making it slow.

Also, I bought this because of your enthusiastic review, and it's just been a massive hit on its debut at family games night 👍

Currently sorting the last few releases of build cards into per-player binders. I may or may not stop buying the new sets now that "wave 1" is over...

The thing about CW6 is that all the complexity is abstracted into the cards, which have all their rules on them and are carefully balanced 👍

Very little restauranting of late, unfortunately. Been a good break, hopefully yours was too. Cooked for the family on the day :).
