Time to switch to cars that don’t rust.
The BMW i3 Mike recently bought used. It’s a 2015 BEV if you’re wondering and it’s made of carbon fiber and aluminum and probably the few ferrous trim screws like the ones for the fender liners will slowly disintegrate.

Mazda should just lean in with the new logo and get a mascot.
There’s a new Mazda corporate logo and it’s the M inside an oval still but oversimplified like other terrible logo updates (VW). Also it looks like an owl. So this picture is the Pam from The Office same picture meme with the Mazda logo and an owl.

We have one in Michigan!
The Clare welcome center in Michigan, in between the northbound and southbound lanes of US-127 and US-10. Kind of weird to have a welcome center in the middle of the state but nobody seems to have a problem with it. It’s a good rest area.

So, a round of applause for this inanimate diamond-like carbon coating. It’s used on the finger followers that help the Lamborghini Temerario V-8 run to 10,000 rpm, and makes them last the lifetime of the valvetrain. This one is a leftover from durability testing
Oh sure this looks like a random piece of grey metal but it’s been through about 100,000 simulated miles of wear and not only does it still look new, you can’t scratch the coating at all. Still reading? To make an engine rev to 10,000 rpm reliably you really need finger followers to press on the valve stems because they’re light and can give you good lift and other stuff. It’s used a lot in racing engines but those get rebuilt all the time. If you want them in a road car with a warranty, you need something like this.

Ferrari F1 driver Charles LeClerc in what appears to be a tablecloth. I would wear the same outfit, less successfully. As a cis white male I probably wouldn’t wear Charles, but I don’t think anyone can say that for certain.
