Giving the benefit of the doubt that this is true - i’m not entirely comfortable with the owner of Twitter being a direct member of the Trump admin. An admin which has promised an enemies list. Yes outside of Elon the gov. has always had my data… but we can at least make it harder to get
pretty sure liberals abandoning Twitter is going to make it dramatically more difficult to mobilize against things like deportations, everyone will be tweeting “call your reps!” to the same 25 people in a big circle, and no one is gonna crosspost bluesky to IG or wherever

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
