I went as soon as I got off work, at like 5:15, and they had been out for hours by then. Anybody with school or a day job was literally unable to get it, through no fault of their own.

Copying my basic Plains. My brain bluescreens. He untaps and uses his new Plains to cast Swords to Plowshares. In his mono-black deck. Apparently he had a Scrubland and Godless Shrine and never drew them.
Anyway, Cathar gets Swords'ed and I lose to Obliterator

I don't remember how it got this way, but it ended up with him casting Phyrexian Obliterator and passing with three mana untapped, one of which was a Thespian's Stage. I'm gonna lose to this, but I do have an answer.
I cast Brutal Cathar, exiling it, and swing in. End of turn, he activates Stage,
