Not allowing the protest to happen inside sadly increases the risk for potential violence. I hope and pray that there is no violence and that the dialogue between the opposing protests can happen peacefully.

Yeah, it would be better if we could collectively ignore it. Same goes for Westboro. By the time I commented on it, the legislature had already condemned it. The Catholic Church likes the threat against a consecrated host to a bomb that - they're obligated to take it seriously no matter what.

Correction to my post, the leader claims to be an atheist. So not a theistic Satanist. I was wrong. Still, the cosplay is a little strong for me; Satanic Temple bends over backwards so that people know they're secularists. The Grotto does the opposite.
