With 260+ field interventions over 10yrs, Gorilla Doctors treat snare injuries + disease, monitor DNA from nesting sites, and since 2022: 0 snare injuries or illness in Mt. Tshiaberimu groups. Re:wild is proud to support this mission of healing and hope.

(4/7)Meanwhile, in southern Africa’s Okavango River Basin, Canadian company ReconAfrica is exploring for oil and gas. The company stored potentially toxic wastewater from one of its exploratory wells in unlined drill pits.
