But more importantly, lone-wolf action resonates with the western imagination, playing into the centuries-long settler fantasy of the individual. This tendency can actually stand in the way of building solidarity and class consciousness. Last week's action was a good temperature check on the state of class consciousness. It's good to celebrate the ruling class trembling over fears of another individual act; we've got to also make them tremble over a mass uprising. How much more could we achieve by working together rather than alone? How can we build networks to protect, support and hide each other?
