The weather broke this morning on the drive from FoCo, and I got to see a beautiful sunrise and the glory of the Rockies. I haven’t been out west since I moved to NC at the end of 2018, and it was a glorious reminder that this part of the world will always hold a special place in my heart. #OutWest

A quick, 36-hour trip to Colorado / Fort Collins for an ordination service! The Rockies are so lovely at night, all covered in snow. 😂😂😂

Today, the gospel of Christ was spoken as John the Baptist spoke to Herod. Today, the Right Rev. Marian Edgar Budde looked into the face of a president and spoke to truth with the courage of a gladiator who defied an emperor. May we all find a portion of her courage.

Facists and Nazis in the White House, two sick cats that I'm having to give liquid antibiotics to, absolutely frigid temperatures and windchills, and a frozen water line to the kitchen sink and dishwasher. Yeah, I'm going to need Sam and Dean to come cleanse whatever ish is going on.

All of this. I was so in a funk yesterday, and it took me breaking down and crying last night to really be able to verbalize why I was struggling so much. Community is going to be VITAL to getting through the *ish* that has already begun.
I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.
