There are a few states on the northern border where you can get a drivers license that is proof of citizenship. It’s called an Enhanced Driver’s License. Washington, Vermont, Michigan, New York, and Minnesota, offer it, I think.

I lived in Wichita for 15 years. It was a good place to raise children before Brownback destroyed school funding. The major drawback is the weather. Hot as Tucson in the summer, cold as Chicago in the winter, and the wind blows all the time. Lots of sunshine though.

Why don't we have a standalone Pertussis vaccine? My understanding is that the immunity for that one wanes more quickly than for the other elements, so we really need it more often than every 10 years, while the Tetanus can last.

I’ve used Tax Act for over a decade after I had some issues that Turbo Tax could not handle correctly.

Except that the new recommendation to expose babies to peanuts early has caused the incidence of peanut allergies to drop sharply. With no change in vaccine makeup.

I was just going to say that. The culture is very anti-trans, anti-gay. And a machismo culture isn’t going to vote for a black woman.

I don't like megachurches but churches are often scammed so they have programs in place to screen people. This reads as a scam. A real mother in need could get help through a variety of programs, non-profit and government, with some, but minimal, planning. Calls like this are rarely valid needs.

The small churches I worked at would have referred her to a community food bank we supported and worked with. Once she told me that she had contacted them, and they told her to call churches directly, I would know she was scamming me. They never did that. I talked to a lot of scammers.

One state -- Montana, Wyoming, N. Dakota, S. Dakota. Still on the smaller side of the states by population.
