I worked for Churchwide. Part of my job as Director for Evangelical Mission was to help our synod share the gospel through digital ministry. Made lots of progress in synod (we were ready during COVID in 2020) but Churchwide had 0 interest what I was doing

First, before anyone else gets a word in, a point of personal privilege from Pastor Kari Neidermaier.
She begins by quoting from the classic prayer,

It’s playing in February at a similar venue in Milwaukee which is feasible for me (except for the driving in Feb part) but I’m gonna need the exact SAME cast!

Although I hate the idea of the pain of people of color being some kind of object lesson for white people. I mean FTS.

I really thought it was from a committee and couldn’t understand how it got by without input from the groups it claimed to “honor”

Although I wonder if it was wasted because it revealed the racism still present in our desire to “help” and laid bare the pain we cause. I mean I hope someone learned something
