(cw minor kitchen-related hand injury) tonight I was so smooth while cooking dinner that I first sliced a small part of my knuckle off while cutting bread and then immediately after getting that taken care of I got a paper cut on the next finger over. It was So much One Of Those Days.

Haven't talked about this much on Bluesky yet but, I have (very ambitiously) decided to both get back into book binding AND try to write a book this winter. Yes, it's inspired by my LARP character. Did you know you can buy stingray leather for book binding?! The vibes are too immaculate to resist.

I can't really explain what it means to me just to be someone watching and donating and playing along at home. Winter, and late November in particular, is so hard for me. Participating in DBfH every year buoys me for the rest of the winter. Looking forward to joining the craft-a-long in 2026!
Thank you again to everyone out there! Another year down, another million raised, and so many people who will be helped because of what you've done with us this year and every other! We couldn't do this without you, and through all the laughs and the tears, we wouldn't want it any other way...

So I've been stretching my fingers back into writing fiction and this weekend I accidentally wrote 2300 words instead of the one page backstory I needed for my new LARP character, Vic "Omen" Benthos.

My literal one and only idea so far is Captain Shakespeare from Stardust, but idk if I can capture that essence in my body as a LARP character.

I just started at a new PCP and she was running a bunch of basic bloodwork and I asked if we could check my MMR titers while at it. It turns out that while my mumps & rubella immunity looks great, I may not have immunity against measles. So I'm going to get a booster when I get my TDAP. Easy!
