Oh for sure. And, if we’re being honest, since the friend is an interim, she probably doesn’t have the political capital that the other associated clergy person does. 😉

This is a good idea. And we’ve got some folks working on great samples of this in our diocese. Counterpoint: I don’t have a time machine, so I’m stuck reacting after-the-fact. 😜

The sense that I got in the Northlands™️ was that it would’ve passed had it not been introduced at the end of a convention that was already running nearly an hour late (which wasn’t on y’all). I think the motion to kick it to DC was fatigue-related.

At Bham I ended up having to connect the Zoom laptop to someone’s hotspot. That’s how we recovered. 😂

I serve with nine lay preachers plus two deacons. Just amazing involvement and interest in preaching. Absolutely a blessing - I really can’t complain. Counterpoint, it means that more often than not I’m looking at the readings thinking “ooh! I’d love to preach this!”
