The Black church emerged because we knew we weren’t safe, affirmed and afforded the right to our humanity. It is not our work to engage with people who don’t affirm us. History teaches us our work is to build and emerge.

The liberation of our people is a mysterious mix of effort between God’s hand and our grit!
