I just kept it in the paper sleeve inside another Cure cover.

One of my faves! I used the album cover as my school folder in high school!

Super stressful year, but giving them something alleviates the DRAMA that would happen if I didn't.

Last year I made Masala Coffee, canned preserved Myers lemons from my tree and made lip balm and sugar scrub. I never heard a peep from anyone about them, best guess is they went in the trash. I wish they would give the jars back if they did that though.

I'm telling you, if I don't give something to everyone in my department all hell breaks loose. Its crazy. I'm the "bosses" assistant and that somehow means I HAVE to or it is discrimination/favoritism. They barely give anything to anyone and that's fine, but I can't get away with it without drama.

Really all I expect is acknowledgement of the gift. I don't want any "thing" in return.
I stopped sending Christmas Cards because I only ever received 3 and sent out 125. If the remaining 122 even sent a text of acknowledgement I would keep doing it but why if they go straight in the trash?

I hate that! At least a thank you! Some people aren't even worthy of a dollar store gift. Only give to those who appreciate!
There are some coworkers who don't even acknowledge I gave them anything but if I don't give them something they will create a huge scandal as though they are owed.

Oh my gosh! While I would LOVE to receive a gift like that, it is a lot! I'm going to guess it's a year round effort as well. I really hope people appreciate the time and love you put into them!

I almost always make at least half of my gifts but they are usually something I can make in bulk like soap. What I planned out this year really should only be for my loved ones and not everyone at work like I planned. I'll likely just make soap for my coworkers.

I actually think the problem is who I am giving these to. I was making them for co-workers. I think i will change it to only family and friends for the time consuming one, the quick and easy to make in bulk stuff can be for the coworkers

Who knew cutting and sanding glass was so time consuming?!? Lol

They won't be anywhere near as cool that way...
December 1, 2025 at 5:27 AM
Or, I make them in a cut corners way and instead of the time consuming part, buy that part pre-made. So, cost goes up but time not spent...

But now I have the sunk cost issue where I've already bought the supplies. So, do I invest the time??

I legit thought it said "pre-owned" and that he was just selling off his old suits.

Not all libraries have Kanopy, but many, including college libraries do (or another media service). Lots of public libraries still check out DVD's and the players.

There was a super tiny, very odd indie video rental shop about 4 miles from me i loved. While there were several much, much, closer I rode my bike to this one and asked the clerk for recommendations. I saw the most F*d up movies ever because of that dude. Love him for it.

I watched a bunch of them coming out with their hands up but none showed the assistance you described. This was the closest I found.
