I recently gave this Atari 2600 four switch “Vader” new life with a capacitor replacement kit from Console5 and swapped out the broken power switch with a refurbished one. Also replaced the joystick port as one pin had a crack which caused the joystick to not work properly.

Restoring this really beat up PS4 and…my god…this might take the award for most dust I’ve seen in any console ever 😂 🤮

This past weekend’s project was a N64 deep clean and re-shell. This N64 was nasty! But the result was fantastic! Went with a “extreme green” shell and even moved over the stickers.

See 🧵 for before and after pics. This N64 came out so well I might have to add it to the personal collection🤔

My first PSP-1001 restore complete! This was a fun one.

New powder blue shell, new lcd screen, new battery, deep cleaned, UMD drive lubed, and even moved the original stickers to the new shell. Works like new!

Tried out these new SEQURE HT140 Hot Tweezers to replace the SMD capacitors in my GameBoy Color. They work great but I need more practice with soldering SMD capacitors. Especially small ones! They need patience and a steady hand 😬

Replaced a Xbox One laser over the weekend.

First time working on an Xbox and let me tell you…Microsoft did not make it easy to repair these consoles. Hardest part is getting the case off and not ripping the thin cable off the back of the front panel. 😬

Finally got around to upgrading the fan on my personal PS2 fat (39001) with a nice and quiet Noctua (NF-A6x25).

It’s so quiet, I thought the fan wasn’t working! 🤣 See 🧵for pics of the install.
