Here's an example of how useless and frustrating internet laws to "protect kids" are in practice: When I'm in Ohio, where I am during the holidays, I can't use my Bluesky DMs—unless I hand over my ID to a company owned by Epic Games. Why? To protect kids, of course!

The US TikTok sale has been signed. The company will be controlled by a joint venture including Oracle, Silver Lake, Andreessen Horowitz, Abu Dhabi-based MGX. Adding a UAE company really makes it clear that this was never about national security concerns.

I recently gave this Atari 2600 four switch “Vader” new life with a capacitor replacement kit from Console5 and swapped out the broken power switch with a refurbished one. Also replaced the joystick port as one pin had a crack which caused the joystick to not work properly.
