Here's an idea which could force company's like cockstar to enable anticheat 💩 on #Linux. @valvesoftware.com could change their rules, if a company doesn't make all of their game work on #steamdeck, then they won't push their game as much, it'll still get pushed, just not as much, like under 50%.

Indies will not save us until y'all start demanding Valve take a smaller cut of revenue from them. Because that 30% cut is responsible for more indie studios folding after their 1st game than anything else in this industry
I get really irked when I see people post “indies will save us” or “the laid off devs should go indie” THERE IS NO MONEY publishers are cancelling contracts, angel investors/venture capital don’t want small returns. I think they mean hobbyists with a day job working doubletime & that is a rough ask

I am the author of #SDLAda which wraps #SDL2.
My main machine where all my code is died, so I am now waiting for new machine parts.
Next year I will be continuing working on a tool which should make wrapping C libs a lot easier and pave the way for
#SDL3
