I see so many adventures and dungeon maps that are kind of stuck in the days of gridline mapping. When's the last time you've entered a room or cave like in the attached image? And the layout actually mattered, and impacted the exploration? 1/x

About a dozen of these big player option books creep into crowdfunding websites every year, and I still can't figure out whose gaming table could possible benefit from them. Who needs that many subclasses? Or 300 new (and redundant) spells? All these books do is add bloat. #ttrpg #dnd #5e

Conan TTRPG by Monolith finally showed up! I got two core books, two adventure books, a bunch of battlemaps, a GM screen, and a big box of minis. Rules are far and away from the d20 system but are surprisingly simple and quick to pick up. #conan #ttrpg #conanthebarbarian

Adding to the old-school collection while still waiting for some overdue kickstarter ttrpg's to finally ship. #dnd #becmi #osr #ttrpg

Finished the Rick Dias! Awesome-looking gunpla kit, though the maneuverability leaves a little bit to be desired

Flawed beauty of a system that I want to learn. MegaTraveller always fascinated me but as a child I was too impatient to learn the rules. Only obstacle is that there is no such thing as a free lunch in this game, you must build your entire universe from scratch.

Current #gunpla project, Quattro's Rick Dias from Gundam Zeta. On the fence as to whether I'll go all the way doing the panel lines and painting the eye...

Currently scripting a YouTube video detailing #mtg deck techs for running nazgûl in something other than Sauron, Smeagol, Lord of the Nazgul, or Ratadrabik

Two games I need to get around finishing. In fact there are several ps3 games I need to play, but these two (and their sequels) I feel like I should play first... most of my unplayed games are long a-rpg's which I have a habit of putting off lol

I've been playing DnD and #ttrpg games for 30 years, so I made this to help my friend understand why session notes are important!

I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that in both #DnD AND #Pathfinder, the quintessential archetypal forest druid is somehow the WORST version of druid. On top of that, both systems have very few spells that actually deal with plants! And of those few, only one or two are actually good.

rudimentary #TTRPG table describing play styles, using fonts from AD&D 2E products because I'm biased:

AD&D2e did the whole point buy thing with their Skills & Powers book in the 90s, as an alternative to the core book. For instance, here is a picture from the Elf section, showing about half of the abilities available for them. Elves had 45 points to purchase abilities from this list of elf traits

Just saying hi to my followers!

I'm not sure what I'm being followed for more: #ttrpg talk, #videogaming talk, or just follow-backs. Either way, i'm glad to be here

I guess the point of my previous post is, I'd like to play the full "BECMI" version of classic dnd using the Rules Cyclopedia

Sorry for the low quality, I can't find the original HQ capture I took of my run earlier this year... but anyway just some barbarian goodness here from one of my favorite hack-n-slash games

For those of you who haven't played the sci fi #ttrpg #Traveller, it's a huge departure from #DnD - you don't level up, the goal isn't to constantly improve your skills in tiny increments, and CharGen plays out like a mini game as you guide your PC through their education and pre-campaign career(s)

For Gold & Glory is the only complete osr clone of the 2nd ed. of #DnD. There are a few incomplete ones out there, so it's just this. It's wild how my favorite edition has only one clone, whereas 1e has like 12,875 clones/hacks/lites with new ones being published every waking moment

A year ago I finally got fed up with modern #ttrpg dice all looking like they were forged inside a dying star, so I sought out a spread of classic 90s dice with the help of some friends.

Long story short: Chessex is your friend

Oh god, I forgot to mention my #gunpla hobby. I am deeply ashamed and acknowledge I am very bad at introducing myself 😆

I'm a #macross and #gundam fan through and through. Also, upfront, I'm terrible at building these. If you look closely you can see they aren't fully painted and some use stickers!

game systems I own (tagged I guess, since that's how these things work):

#gamecube
#ps3
#segagenesis
#nintendo3ds

I was planning to eventually move into the 21st century with a #ps4 this year, but I heard the pros were loud. So I guess I should get a 5 to play my ps4 games?

an idea for a rules-lite sci-fi #ttrpg has been rattling in my head most of the year, heavily inspired by the Leiji-verse era of sci fi anime. You know, a time of shoulder pads and capes, but in space! The way I envision the game, it's less of a "what is this?" and more of what is is NOT —

Just a small sample of my classic #dnd collection. As far as DnD goes, I have books for 2e, b/x (or BECMI), and 5e. And several indie #ttrpg games
