Especially funny when Tomino basically tells you what's going to happen and why RIGHT AT THE START OF THE BOOK, but I guess you wouldn't know this if your only real context is the movie

There's a few other scenes that were noticeably dubbed later, but none of them were THIS bad.

>Boss named "Submarine Willy" that you fight him in a level called "Willy--Do It!"
>You fight him in an arena shaped like a massive cock
>You have to go through the bisexual room to get the key that unlocks the boss door
What did they mean by this?

Its insane seeing people act like he was more out of character there than Pontac & Graff Sonic, like are we fucking joking here???

There is certainly a way you can do this cynically (I didn't think of it at the time, but Rebellion would fall into this), and I DO like cynical sequels too, but I don't think this cynicism is inherrenr to this kind of thing.

I know you haven't seen any of them, but I don't think any of the examples here are particularly cynical. Maybe Advent Children is a little bit, but it's still generally a positive story about moving on after tragedy.

Yes, 06 feels like absolute ass to play and there's a lot of janky feeling mechanics, but none of that is because of bugs, it just feels undercooked. The game really isn't any more buggy than any of the previous Sonic games, I'd even argue its LESS buggy.

80% of the "bugs" that people complain about are either "deliberately going out of my way to interact with a setpiece in a silly way" or some minor visual jank from unfinished animations. The former is something that exists in basically EVERY 3D sonic game.
