There's actually a typo. It should read "burst" not "bust"

During an 85kg stiff-leg deadlift, around the end of my second set, the tip of my little finger just sort of... Popped and oozed blood... And this isn't the first time.

Literally just from the pressure... I guess... 🤷😩

My little finger bust (again) during deadlifts... 😬

Today is a low pain day, so I thought I'd take my skates for a wee roll around The Kelpies while I have a couple of hours to myself (while I neglect my household chores that I will panic do in a rush while simultaneous making dinner for the kids later)

A wee baby loop, and my knee didn't explode!!

The first MTB I've done since before I dislocated my knee 11 months ago.
It feels like I'm starting from scratch again. My fitness is abysmal. But, I've set a baseline, things can only really improve from here!

Yay, thanks for being difficult passport office.

The piercings I've had since I was 17, for 23 years and counting, that weren't a problem in my 2005 passport are now a problem.

Literally nobody I've ever met in my adult life has seen me without them. 🤷🤣

And then Israel ramps things up and tries to do as much damage as possible as quickly as possible, too.

The whole US-Israel marriage of violence and destruction is terrifying and... Not shocking in the slightest anymore.

Being devistatingly humbled by the latest addition to the home gym setup.

Before I had all the downtime during my knee rebuild recovery and suffering a series of strokes, I was functionally very strong. I spent my free time doing parkour, skateboarding and beyond.

Our hot water cylinder was a corroded old mess, being 23 years old when we moved into this house and we ultimately had to replace is back in April.

The new hot water cylinder has just decided that we needed a water feature in the living room... Which is nice...

The vet thinks that, while Hopper is from a litter two years ago, the reason she herniated is possibly because she may have been used for breeding and successive breeding may have drastically weakened her abdominal muscles

Not completely out of the woods just yet, but she's doing very very well. 🤞

Just back from Cinnamon's post op checkup.

So, was very touch and go all weekend. Then, when I got up this morning, she had eaten her wee tub of greens, shat everywhere and when she heard me, she brought her greens tub to the opening. 1/3

I went through this thought process relatively recently.

I decided to go from a few years worth of growth that was green, to this unkept orange mohawk thingy. 🤷🙃

Their hospital/recovery pens taking up a sizeable chunk of the living room.

Hopper seems mostly to accept being caged short term, but Cinnamon knows their place is up on the sofa with the rest of us.

It's gonna be a rough few days for them. 🙁

Cinnamon and Hopper are away getting spayed today. So naturally, I'm very stuck in my head and having an utterly abysmal day. 👍

Not just me, she used to play with the kids. And through watching them, seemed to learn how to play on the trampoline.

She used to pluck wee apples from the tree to then throw them around on the trampoline. She also learned which way it was tilted so she could roll them down it!! 💚

Dave, pictured here, was utterly amazing.

She watched us move in, she would sunbathe in the garden with the cats, she'd pop into the garage with me when I was working in there and, in some ways, saved me from a very, very deep rut. She was a genuine friend.

It started as a bit of an "alright Dave" as she popped out of the bushes. But as of the second week in December last year, aye, Dave's not here... 🙁
November 17, 2024 at 12:23 PM
Well, he wasn't quite as friendly as Dave (pictured here) his sister/aunt from last year's litter who I befriended and spent most of the summer with.

But he clearly had a similar inquisitive nature.
