This is an odd email I got from TreasuryDirect. Odd because I don't recall receiving anything but confirmations from them before. I'm well aware C of I is non-interest bearing and so would anyone else using the service. It's just a place to queue funds between transactions.

The new corporate landlords cut that tree down to a stump yesterday.

I can't help but feel bad, but I know for a fact this will result in nicer, bushier jades, and will help strengthen their trunks and branches to avoid flops and droops.

With spring arriving, it was time to do some serious jade pruning. Especially the Elder Jade and the Dwarf Jade, the latter of which had gotten so top heavy I had to brace it up.
