Dressed in just a towel, Ethan stares at a short-sleeved shirt he's pulled from his closet. He then looks over at his arm, still full of stitches after being torn off the night before. Putting the short-sleeved shirt back, he takes out a long-sleeved one to wear instead. Ethan collapses face-first onto the couch. Easing back up, he looks around the living room and says, "Baptiste...? You still--" A cat's meow interrupts him. Baptiste happily converses with Princess Melody III, the neighbor's fluffy white cat, out on Ethan's balcony. -Baptiste: "And then--" The sliding glass door clatters open. Melody hisses as Ethan approaches them. -Baptiste, to Melody: "Oh, be nice! He's had a rough night..." -Ethan: "Is that cat talkin' smack about me?!" -Baptiste: "To be fair, you CAN be kind of--" -Ethan: "OH, SHUDDUP! Thought you were here to keep ME company, not some spoiled-as-fuck furball!" Ethan storms back into the apartment, slamming the door behind him. Melody glares up at Baptiste. -Baptiste, awkwardly: "A really, REALLY rough night!" Ethan examines his outstretched arms, as Baptiste sits next to him on the couch. -Ethan: "Is one arm shorter than the other now?!" -Baptiste: "Were they the same length before?" -Ethan: "I dunno...I never checked." -Baptiste: "Then don't worry about it." Grumpily resigned to his fate, Ethan slumps downward, crowding out Baptiste.
