New Jersey is actually dealing with a deer population explosion! Per the NJ Farm Bureau, a healthy population of deer is 5-15 deer/sq mile. New Jersey has about 112 deer per sq mile, and up to 270/sq mile in the really hard-hit spots. They don't... have natural predators there.
