Fun fact -- during the Progressive Era (yes, that is a part of American history) progressives were in both the left-wing Republican party and right-wing Democratic party. They fought conservatives in both parties to save the US from greedy capitalists. Progress over party! Let's do that again.

The idea of “America First” to many was “me first.” They want policies that make their lives better.

Medicare for All does that.
Tuition-free college does that.
Housing for All does that.

Do we want to win these policies for our communities? Celebrate when people start supporting these policies.

There are only two potential paths to winning back political power:

- Progressive populism that appeals to MAGA

- ‘Centrist’ policy that hopes to appeal to moderate Republicans

Democrats have gone the ‘centrist’ route—it failed.
