Investing in people and planet is a winning strategy.
Counter destructive reinforcing loops with effective balancing loops.
Efficiency does not equate to effectiveness.
For an administration that touts operating government as a business it appears to violate not on constitutional law but corporate law regarding violations of fiduciary duty and estoppel. Perhaps taxpayers are stakeholders who sustain harm from persistant malfeasance as another argument on the list?

Because there are so many questions about legality of military orders, it seems a good time to repost this.

Indeed it seems much much more. @zevshalev.bsky.social has been investigating these threads for over a decade. He’s written about it in the Greatest Heist (bsky.app/profile/zevs... and open.substack.com/pub/narativ/...).

A few days ago, I was reminded of this tune as it was a thread through the historical fiction series chronicling FDR's support of Norway during WWII. Worth a watch. The parallels are striking.

...leading a caucus of "do nothing". It's an obstructionist strategy to subvert government no doubt.

A savvy journalist would ask him why he and his colleagues are getting paid at taxpayers' expense. If they really want to cut waste, fraud, and abuse his caucus would resign to let governing resume.

May I suggest for your next list Murc's Law (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murc%27...) and the Dunning-Kruger Effect (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning...)? Both seem to capture the essence of this political era.
Many thanks for your work!

Yes, it's true. If we had actually representative electoral/legislative institutions where everyone's vote counted equally & all were represented, a real constitutional court instead of 6 Wizards In Robes, & restricting suffrage was illegal, that you couldn't win by being a far right party anymore 🤷‍♂️
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"
