I think the point here is mainly that gentrification is NOT caused by new construction (which often brings in new rich people and is thought to ultimately displace poor people), but most people think it does. The plateau serves as a concrete counter-example of this myth.

Ok je comprend mieux. Par "donner de la place aux autres cyclistes", tu voulais dire "collaborer avec/former une coalition avec les autres cyclistes". J’avais compris "participer à pousser un agenda pro-vélo", ce qui ne requiert pas nécessairement de collaboration.

J'ai plus l'impression que les autres cyclistes utilitaires sont moins militants, personnellement.

Je ne pense pas que "les cyclistes utilitaires montréalais de la première heure" enlèvent de la place aux autres cyclistes utilitaires. N'y a-t-il pas assez de place pour eux présentement? Qu'est-ce qui empêche les autres de prendre de la place (à part leur peur d'être taggé woke)?
