(2/2) Beyond the program’s critical health benefits, grocery stores also rely on SNAP. When those impacted cut back on their food spending in November all at once, grocers and farmers will be faced with going out of business, drastically raising prices, and other tough choices.

Gov. Shapiro announced yesterday that he signed onto a lawsuit with about two dozen other governors to sue the Trump administration, demanding it uses available federal contingency funding to sustain SNAP during the federal budget impasse. (1/2)

My team and I had a wonderful time observing Diwali with the Desis of Doylestown at their 5th Annual Diwali Celebration! The Desis always invites the entire community -- people of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and abilities -- to take part in this joyful festival of lights.

The Trump admin removed the 988 crisis hotline's "press 3" option tailored to LGBTQ+ youth.

But our Bucks County neighbors are responding to this attempt at dividing us by joining fellow Americans across the country, renewing our love and support for young people in the LGBTQ+ community.

I toured UBC Local #432 and IBEW Local 5 in Pittsburgh last week with the Labor & Industry Committee, and met w/ the latter's Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee, which runs an impressive training facility to prepare them to become electricians. Union training helps us meet worker needs!
