I finished the book I brought on the trip up to Edinburgh so that justifies me buying several more to take home, right? Also cool thing, all written by female authors which was not intentional on my part but a nice coincidence. (None of these were the book I went looking for tho…)

Nope and nope! I’m guessing / hoping it’s only for some small aspect as one of the other sets we were looking at in the series didn’t mention glue at all.

I bought a new model kit while out today, rip my several unbuilt ones. Couldn’t see a Lelouch one to match tho. Also I have to use glue in places, which I have never done before so potential uh oh.

Skipped Gundam in favour of a nice dinner at Bread Meats Bread. Pudding especially was very nice (sticky toffee pudding)

So right is almost certainly Kenjiro Tsuda, but I wonder who the left is supposed to be (Mamo? Is that just my bias? 😅). From volume 1 of Fired? But I Maintain All the Software! (Which was surprisingly funny!).

October books arrived, an effort was made to try and catch up with some ongoing stuff I’ve been following. Vampire Knight finally got reprinted, just in time for final volume in December. Also accidentally ordered 9 but not 8 for Phantom of the Idol and I can’t merge it into any existing orders…

Caught a shiny Fletcling yesterday, wish I’d found it earlier since I’ve raised one all the way at this point. Still cool tho, second shiny so far!

I stared at the listings for this forever since the prequel volume is 君は夏のなか and given all they did for the sequel is change the は to a と, I wasn’t entirely convinced it wasn’t just a renamed rerelease as it was supposedly finished before. Final volume for real this time, maybe?

Apparently can’t leave him alone for five minutes without him being jailed. Also this “tragedy” has been as long winded as you’d expect from a bard so far… Also just noticed there’s a missing word. I by and large find the translation of this game okay, but it’s sloppy editing in places.

Comparing with Manga Up’s English release (the baka incident is from the Panini Manga UK release), they made the smart choice of going for “you big dummy”, which fits the tone of the scene better anyway. I like their translation less in other places, but it at least makes more sense here.

I kinda feel if we’re out here using Baka as slang with a large translation note about it being slang, it’s probably not hitting the intended audience either way. This is a series that keeps the honorific’s, so it is aimed more toward that crowd but…

I may have gotten slightly too enthusiastic about my book buying this month… I have a few review materials left to arrive, but otherwise I think I’m done for September. 😅

Honestly Hanae and Eevee seem like they’d be a pretty formidable duo, so this seems apt. (I love that they added the sparkle to Hanae’s design for this lol).

Didn’t think these would turn up today since they didn’t go out for delivery until after 5pm, but got here in the end. A lot of stuff I’m catching up with like Bungo Wan! and Hirayasumi (decided to head off the risk of it going temporarily OOP with the anime). Some cool new titles mixed in too.

Didn’t think these would turn up today since they didn’t go out for delivery until after 5pm, but got here in the end. A lot of stuff I’m catching up with like Bungo Wan! and Hirayasumi (decided to head off the risk of it going temporarily OOP with the anime). Some cool new titles mixed in too.
I started the new manga adaptation of Shoshimin and I’m happy to find these two dorks being done justice by Anri Sagawa. Dunno how long they’ll run this one for especially as the title is from the first case in particular, but at the very least it’s nice to revisit in another form.

Came home to find my new nendoroids! Hayato is one of my favourite Wind Breaker characters, but I also absolutely fell in love with Oblivion Battery so I’m really happy to have all three here.

Came home to this months JP package. Among the exciting content were four bookmarks I didn’t realise I was getting from a Square Enix promotion! And was lucky enough to end up with two featuring series I really love (Tokyo Aliens and Hanako-kun), so I’m pretty chuffed.
