Five years ago I was one of the last members evacuated on January 6th from the Capitol amid a violent insurrection incited by our current President to stop the peaceful transfer of power. On that day more than 140 police officers were seriously injured and several lost their lives (1/3).

Yesterday, on the darkest day of the year, our team joined a menorah lighting ceremony in Clayton to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah and the triumph of light over darkness.

Yesterday, on the darkest day of the year, our team joined a menorah lighting ceremony in Clayton to celebrate the last night of Hanukkah and the triumph of light over darkness.
In 2025, our team hosted 23 virtual and in-person town halls across CA-10 – more than we have in any previous year. Thank you to the more than 5,700 constituents who joined one of our town halls this year. I look forward to seeing you again at town halls in 2026!

I recognized the extraordinary service of retiring San Ramon Police Chief Denton Carlson on the House Floor today. After more than two decades of serving the San Ramon community, Chief Carlson’s retirement is well deserved, but he will be missed.
