One of my favorite town hall series we’ve hosted was our Conversations on Race with former Representative Barbara Lee. This Black History Month, I wanted to highlight one of those conversations from back in 2019 – even seven years later, these topics are still so relevant.

Trump continues to put the profits of Big Oil over the health and safety of Americans, this time by destroying the EPA’s ability to regulate climate pollution. At every turn, Trump puts the interests of his ultrawealthy donors over those of the American people.

Yesterday, I voted against the SAVE Act, a bill that makes it harder for the American people to vote. The bill’s new voting requirements would be especially onerous for married women who have changed their last names (1/2).
The SAVE Act: Overview and Facts
The SAVE Act would require all Americans to prove their citizenship with documentation unavailable to millions and upend the way every American citizen registers to vote.

Despite Trump claiming to want to make life more affordable for Americans, families across the country are spending more on essentials from groceries to electricity thanks to his tariffs and Big Ugly Bill. In CA-10, families’ average annual spending is up $2,080.

The wealth gap between big corporations and the working people who make these companies’ success possible has been widening for decades and will only be exacerbated by the unchecked rise of AI (1/2).
