Lawless DHS agents are out of control. Murdering people in the streets, detaining children on their way home from school, and terrorizing our communities. That's why I voted FUCK NO on the DHS funding package. Secretary Noem must be impeached. We have to stop this fascist takeover of our county.

I am SO PROUD to have secured over $17.9 million in federal funding for 15 critical projects across WA-06 included in the FY2026 appropriation bills — securing funding for every project we submitted to the U.S House Appropriations Committee.

The Trump administration is relentless in their attacks against LGBTQI+ people. I’m demanding an investigation into their efforts to end data collection that erases LGBTQI+ people from important policy conversations.

I was sent here a year ago by the people of WA's 6th. I am accountable to them — not party leadership. My neighbors are seeing Trump, JD Vance, and Pam Bondi go back on their promise to release the full, unredacted Epstein files.

I've heard from Tribal members in my district that ICE is illegally detaining and targeting Native people for the color of their skin. Bad behavior is bred from the top — that's why I'm an original co-sponsor of articles of impeachment against Secretary Noem.

Yesterday, I spoke with detainees at the Tacoma NW ICE Detention Center, including a woman who’s been held in custody for over 17 months. We heard again and again that folks inside are not receiving the adequate medical care they need.

I'm here at the Tacoma NW ICE Detention Facility for my 6th Congressional oversight visit. Today, I'll speak directly with detainees who are struggling to access health care and not receiving the proper attention that they need while they are wards of the US government.

Today, I visited Grays Harbor EOC, the Lake Sylvia Dam and the Chehalis Reservation to see the impacts of the recent atmospheric river events. I’m grateful to the first responders on the ground & community members working together to make sure our neighbors are safe.

I wonder how many trans people or parents of trans kids my Republican colleagues actually know. I spend time speaking to LGBTQ+ students and they ask me if I know any trans people my age because they don’t believe they will make it to 40.

Cori asked what Congress is doing to protect SNAP benefits. We know that under Trump's Big Ugly Law, at least 57,000 Washingtonians will be kicked off SNAP. I've signed onto legislation to reverse these cuts.
