Congresswoman for Washington’s 6th🌲 Serving Kitsap, Mason, Grays Harbor, Clallam, Jefferson, and Pierce counties. Dog mom 🐕 Wife 👯‍♀️ Queer Latina 🌈
I have zero faith in Kristi Noem – that’s why I co-sponsored Articles of Impeachment to remove her from office. We have to put Republicans on the record if they support her leadership. House Democrats will bring these articles to the floor next week.

Lawless DHS agents are out of control. Murdering people in the streets, detaining children on their way home from school, and terrorizing our communities. That's why I voted FUCK NO on the DHS funding package. Secretary Noem must be impeached. We have to stop this fascist takeover of our county.
January 24, 2026 at 8:32 PM
There’s been another murder in Minneapolis by DHS agents. We have to stop this fascist takeover of our country.

I am SO PROUD to have secured over $17.9 million in federal funding for 15 critical projects across WA-06 included in the FY2026 appropriation bills — securing funding for every project we submitted to the U.S House Appropriations Committee.

The Trump administration is relentless in their attacks against LGBTQI+ people. I’m demanding an investigation into their efforts to end data collection that erases LGBTQI+ people from important policy conversations.
January 23, 2026 at 7:37 PM
There is no question: I will be voting NO on the Department of Homeland Security funding package.
January 22, 2026 at 5:09 PM
I was sent here a year ago by the people of WA's 6th. I am accountable to them — not party leadership. My neighbors are seeing Trump, JD Vance, and Pam Bondi go back on their promise to release the full, unredacted Epstein files.

I've heard from Tribal members in my district that ICE is illegally detaining and targeting Native people for the color of their skin. Bad behavior is bred from the top — that's why I'm an original co-sponsor of articles of impeachment against Secretary Noem.
January 21, 2026 at 4:59 PM
Bad behavior begins at the top & I have zero faith in Secretary Noem.

Let me be clear, using ICE agents to kill people in the streets is fascism. I will use all the tools available to fight to defend our democracy and our collective future.

I’m heading to Minneapolis to hear directly from folks on how this administration is weaponizing ICE and DHS to terrorize our communities.

Accountability is not optional.

The Fish Passage Barrier Replacement Program created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provided groundbreaking federal investments for culvert removal projects across the 6th district.
January 15, 2026 at 4:49 PM
It doesn’t matter what they say to me. I’ll keep working for you.
January 13, 2026 at 11:50 PM
Accountability is not optional. I hope my Republican colleagues can put party aside and join us in holding a Department of Homeland Security Secretary, who is clearly unfit to serve, accountable.
January 10, 2026 at 7:51 PM
I'm glad 17 of my Republican colleagues joined Democrats in voting to extend the ACA tax credits for three more years & I hope my colleagues in the Senate follow pass this bill immediately. (1/2)

Yesterday, I spoke with detainees at the Tacoma NW ICE Detention Center, including a woman who’s been held in custody for over 17 months. We heard again and again that folks inside are not receiving the adequate medical care they need.
January 6, 2026 at 10:18 PM
I'm here at the Tacoma NW ICE Detention Facility for my 6th Congressional oversight visit. Today, I'll speak directly with detainees who are struggling to access health care and not receiving the proper attention that they need while they are wards of the US government.
January 5, 2026 at 10:41 PM
This holiday season, I’m thinking of my neighbors in WA 6th who experienced devastating impacts to their homes & businesses in the storms this month. I’ll continue fighting for federal resources to protect our communities.

A year of wins for Washington’s 6th: the 2025 highlights!
December 23, 2025 at 3:35 AM
It’s been quite the first year in Congress delivering for WA06 – here are the highlights!
December 23, 2025 at 3:17 AM
Congresswoman Dexter and I are at the Tacoma ICE Detention Center to do our Congressional Oversight duty and make sure ICE is following the law.
December 22, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Today, I visited Grays Harbor EOC, the Lake Sylvia Dam and the Chehalis Reservation to see the impacts of the recent atmospheric river events. I’m grateful to the first responders on the ground & community members working together to make sure our neighbors are safe.

I wonder how many trans people or parents of trans kids my Republican colleagues actually know. I spend time speaking to LGBTQ+ students and they ask me if I know any trans people my age because they don’t believe they will make it to 40.
December 18, 2025 at 10:24 PM
During my town hall on Monday, John from Bremerton asked if there’s any update about the status of extending the ACA tax credits before they expire at the end of the month.
December 17, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Speaker Johnson has the power to schedule a vote right now on the Democratic-led bipartisan discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits. We have the votes. Let's get this done.
December 17, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Cori asked what Congress is doing to protect SNAP benefits. We know that under Trump's Big Ugly Law, at least 57,000 Washingtonians will be kicked off SNAP. I've signed onto legislation to reverse these cuts.
