The world is watching as Trump illegally stokes the fires of war for his own personal gain. Bypassing Congressional authorization — at the very least notification — to kidnap a foreign leader and force a regime change in order to extract oil resources is unconstitutional. (1/4)

In April 2025, I sent a letter to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem slamming the Trump administration’s reckless decision to cancel the BRIC grant program, which clawed back $84 million from the Aberdeen-Hoquiam North Shore Levee project. (1/2)

The ACA Tax Credits expire in 3 days. Families won’t be able to afford health care next year, and they’re chancing it. Chancing not having to go to the emergency room, not having a cancer diagnosis, or not having a kid break their arm. This isn’t fair.
A middle-class family’s only option: A $43,000 health insurance premium
This year, millions of American families that have relied on ACA, popularly known as Obamacare, are being squeezed on multiple sides.

In the WA state Senate, I championed policies that helped servicemembers connect with essential resources. The bipartisan ANCHOR for Military Families Act builds on that model, offering relocation support to ensure military families have timely access to the tools they need for a smooth transition.

This holiday season, I’m thinking of my neighbors in WA 6th who experienced devastating impacts to their homes & businesses in the storms this month. I’ll continue fighting for federal resources to protect our communities.

Almost every week – I hear from families who moved from Texas or Florida because they want their kids to survive. We’ve fought to protect health care access for LGBTQ+ kids in Washington state & now they’re trying to strip away life-saving care. This is evil.
Federal plan to ban gender care for minors is 'cruel,' state AG says
Pediatricians and legal experts in Washington expressed outrage at Trump administration proposals to effectively ban gender-affirming care for minors.

I wonder how many trans people or parents of trans kids my Republican colleagues actually know. I spend time speaking to LGBTQ+ students and they ask me if I know any trans people my age because they don’t believe they will make it to 40.

During my town hall on Monday, John from Bremerton asked if there’s any update about the status of extending the ACA tax credits before they expire at the end of the month.

Speaker Johnson has the power to schedule a vote right now on the Democratic-led bipartisan discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits. We have the votes. Let's get this done.

Cori asked what Congress is doing to protect SNAP benefits. We know that under Trump's Big Ugly Law, at least 57,000 Washingtonians will be kicked off SNAP. I've signed onto legislation to reverse these cuts.

14,000+ neighbors attended our 17th town hall. And my #1 priority remains the same: listening and delivering for our neighbors and our community. Grateful for every voice that showed up. 💙

I represent 27,000 federal employees, who have been through an incredibly challenging year marked by reckless DOGE firings, chaotic re-hirings, and unprecedented uncertainty. And as a result, we are losing talented and highly skilled workers at rates we can’t afford.
