I visited Fukushima this summer. Here are some thoughts on how ongoing decontamination efforts there consider humans and nature, and strike a balance between memory, safety, and revival.
It was such a meaningful visit and I hope to return to help in some way.

To assess Iran's remaining nuclear capability, we need to know several things that aren't publicly known:
(1) Where is the HEU? Canisters broken and UF6 dispersed? In canisters that can be recovered (or not)? Or removed and hidden? 1/n

For context, these are painted in soft pastels.
I am also very interested in the plants, trees, grasses around nuclear sites so more close up pictures of those would also be appreciated! (Will likely paint these with oil pastels or watercolors)

I don't know who needs to hear this, but: there will be zero AI data centers powered by new nuclear plants if the new nuclear plants and their fuel are not cost-competitive with other electricity sources.
