While Trump promised to lower prices on “day one,” his inflationary, chaotic economic policies RAISED prices by over $730 for Pennsylvanians this year.

Pennsylvania deserves better than a president more focused on renovating his bathroom than lowering the cost of living!

This shouldn’t be a red or blue issue. Across Pennsylvania, health care premiums WILL skyrocket if we do not extend the ACA tax credits.

House Democrats are working to ensure millions of Americans don’t see a shutdown of their health care. Will House Republicans join us?
November 13, 2025 at 3:39 PM
This Senate “deal” is nothing to more than an empty promise and does nothing to address the Republican-created health care crisis.

I am an absolute NO. This fight is NOT over!
November 12, 2025 at 10:59 PM
This Veterans Day, join me in honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.

In Congress, I’ll continue working to ensure that all our veterans receive the care and benefits they have earned.
November 11, 2025 at 5:10 PM
This “deal” is an empty promise and a betrayal to the millions of Americans currently seeing a shutdown of their health care.

I’m a HELL NO if it comes to the House. And I encourage my Senate Democratic colleagues to stand strong and continue fighting to protect the ACA tax credits.
November 10, 2025 at 12:12 AM
The House GOP has been on a taxpayer-funded vacation for the last 50 days.

As millions of Americans are facing a shutdown of their health care & millions more are struggling to put food on the table, this is not a game! It’s past time for Speaker Johnson to bring the House back into voting session.

Because of Trump and Congressional Republicans’ refusal to extend ACA tax credits, Pennsylvanians are seeing their health care costs more than double!
November 7, 2025 at 11:02 PM
It’s been an honor to work alongside Nancy Pelosi, a tenacious and steadfast fighter who never backed down and always put working Americans first.

Thank you, Madame Speaker, for everything.

Republicans control the White House, the House, and the Senate. And because of their inaction and incompetence, we are in the longest shutdown in US history.

America deserves better than this. (1/2)

Last night’s results show it’s time to put down the ballroom plans and pick UP the phone.

Tell the USDA to FULLY fund November’s SNAP benefits - now. Then Mr. Art of the Deal should call House & Senate Democratic leaders to meet with him and NEGOTIATE an end to this shutdown.
November 5, 2025 at 4:15 PM
As I said at yesterday’s press conference- Speaker Johnson needs to reconvene the House after 46 days away and let us get back to work!
November 4, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Meanwhile, this weekend, 42 million Americans missed their November SNAP food assistance because of the Trump administration’s cruel and illegal actions.
November 3, 2025 at 11:22 PM
Nearly 500,000 Philadelphians rely on SNAP to put food on the table.

That's why, alongside @congressmanboyle.bsky.social, @scanlon.house.gov, @repjordanharris.com and Rep. Krajewski, I called on the Trump administration to obey federal district court rulings and FULLY fund November SNAP benefits.

As Pennie open enrollment begins today, hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians are seeing their premiums skyrocket or getting priced out of health care coverage altogether.

House Democrats want to extend ACA tax credits to STOP this shutdown of health care. Why don't most House Republicans?
November 1, 2025 at 4:48 PM
2 million Pennsylvanians are hours away from losing their SNAP benefits.

And President Trump is showing off his fancy new bathroom??
October 31, 2025 at 9:36 PM
So, Trump decided that a $40 billion bailout to his right-wing foreign ally was “essential,” but feeding 42 million Americans- including 16 million children, 8 million seniors, and 1.2 million veterans isn’t.

Is this what "America First" looks like in practice?

“I’m scared,” Deardra, a Philly child care provider & @afscme.bsky.social member, told me.

Deardra is one of the millions of Americans who rely on the ACA tax credits to afford their health care. Stories like hers are exactly why I am fighting to protect these tax credits.
October 30, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Trump already canceled 94 million pounds of aid for food banks AND cut $186 billion in SNAP funding in his Big Ugly law.

Now he refuses to fund Nov. SNAP benefits for 42 million Americans. Even before the shutdown, feeding hungry families wasn't a priority for Trump.
October 29, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Millions of Americans are about to see their premiums skyrocket, millions more are on the brink of hunger, our air traffic controllers & other federal workers just missed their paychecks... and House Republicans are on day 40 of their vacation.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!
October 29, 2025 at 9:32 PM
BS. With open enrollment starting this week, this is a HUGE issue.

Here’s the truth directly from Pennie: “If EPTCs are allowed to expire this year…when taking 2026 premium increases into account, the actual cost increase for enrollees will be 102% on average.”
October 29, 2025 at 8:49 PM
“If my premiums go up any further, and I can afford neither the premiums nor my medication, it will affect my ability to work, to care for my husband, and to care for myself,” a North Philly resident told my office.

This is exactly why I’m fighting to protect the ACA tax credits.
