I was casually weighing choices regarding finding a proper home for my long threatened 'review/cultural musings' blog of sorts, and Substack was an option though I didn't commit right away...

About that..Yeah, think a cobwebby Blogspot or WordPress page would be a morally reasonable decision.
The most infuriating thing about this article (and why I feel justified linking to it directly) is that it's actually good, decisive journalism. It doesn't feel the need to consult the other side for "balance."

If only they had listened to trans people who were warning about this years ago.

There's an ironic misreading of David Cronenberg's later films that often point out that they lack the 'ooey-gooey' visceral body horror that initially put him on the map but then again: those same early films are accused of having heady themes that get in the way of the expected corporeal ick.

I suppose this could officially count as an inaugural post on this platform. So might as well have it be something music related. Though I'm probably preaching to my comically small contact list (who've heard the debut release or seen Collector Of Dust live.)
