“They’ll just get the books online anyway.” Adults engage in weird magical thinking about kids ability to get anything online all the time, but this one is really rough. “It’s OK if we torch the libraries; kids will just steal the PDFs. LOL.” Piracy is not the answer to book bans, you buffoon.

It really can't be stated enough how the AI craze is rooted deeply in utter vitriolic disrespect for the working class. Like I've seen multiple cases of this tech being marketed directly on sticking it to us filthy poors who want things like "benefits" and "fair pay for our labor"
