A reminder to people that independent bookshops that are coming to here from Twitter are taking a financial risk as that social media outlet is a major factor in marketing and getting sales.

The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.

An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.

So finish the thing.

I love my local library! I'm there about 3 times a week, and it's situated on the grounds of an old monastery with very haunted woods around it - great writing inspiration.

I should add that this means my recent attempts to squash my first draft perfectionism is working. Things go faster when you're just throwing slop at the wall to edit later.

Actually written 3k words since I got up this morning which is unusual. Something about the world crumbling creates a unique focus for unreality maybe? 😅
