The consistent theme of only bringing up Haurchefant in terms of his death and not of his life by the FFXIV marketing for shock value and cheap emotional marketing just seems to echo the growing trend of apathy towards their own game and it really does suck.

Renna doesn't talk at all about her past beyond a handful of years ago. She goes out of her way to avoid questions about her family, her village, or even what continent she came from. Her accent is distinctly Eorzean by the time she meets with the Scions.

Having good peeps to play with. Being in an FC where I feel like a valued member and friend definitely makes me want to come back. I absolutely enjoy hanging out in voice chat with my FC friends. Even when we're not active in discord, the FC chat is super fun to engage with.

Renna is kind and respectful to children, but doesn’t feel a particularly maternal pull towards them. It’s just as well considering her profession as the warrior of light.

When Renna was a child, a Garlean cohort devastated her village. Her parents hid her, which saved her from the main attack. As she left her hiding spot to find her parents, she was discovered crying near their slain bodies.
