We wrote a book to meet the times that are upon us. We hope it can make a difference. We didn’t just point out the issues, but tried to offer hope and a path forward.
Language doesn’t just describe reality — it shapes it. Yet today, doublespeak twists meaning until words become their opposites, corroding trust in institutions and each other.

Of the 4000 researchers at NIH, only 20% are tenured. They’re going to fire all the rest as their contracts come up for renewal, absolutely decimating research at the NIH. This is catastrophic, not just for Americans, but for the whole world.
