I lead the Developer Relations team at LocalStack. I run the cfe.dev community hosting virtual developer events. AWS Community Builder.
Not the point at all, but isn't the last- minute-ness of this all kinda further proof of this admins incompetence? I mean, did they think they'd not seat Grijalva forever?

i mean c’mon. the president’s best friend was the most notorious pedo in the country’s history who ran a massive child trafficking ring. every bit of circumstantial evidence we have says that trump was a participant. if this were a criminal trial we’d have enough evidence to compel a plea deal.

I appreciate everyone who joined a meetup or event and those who sponsored to make these 9 years possible. I hope you'll join myself and all the regular contributors to the site for a final farewell to CFE on December 10th at 1pm ET (UTC -5). cfe.dev/events/goodb...
Goodbye to CFE.dev
After 9+ years, it's time to say goodbye to CFE.dev. Join the core contributors to the site for a final farewell.

I wasn't in it for the money or I would have quit long ago but it makes it harder to sustain the level of work necessary. Still I'm not ending CFE because of money, 9 yrs is a good run. I'm ready to move on. I don't know what I'll do next, but if you who know me you know I'll end up doing something.

It was also a business, which only stopped losing money when I started doing everything myself. It was a lot of work. I started out charging nominal amounts for workshops & conferences, but in recent years everything was free. As sponsorship dried up across the industry, so did my business.

Over the past 9+ years, I have run CFE, hosting hundreds of events – often multiple per month – as a way to give back to and stay connected to the developer community. I love learning and the site was my way of sharing that love of learning with everyone.

Oh awesome you'll be there! Sadly, this is basically the final CFE event. The only other one is a goodbye. cfe.dev/events/goodb...

Judge McConnell basically walked them through the math, called all their arguments bullshit, and entered the order that the gov't stop playing games with the money while kids go hungry.

Didn't even give the gov't the chance to respond.

Glad to hear. I subscribed primarily because of the quality and depth of the politics reporting.
