You’re not violating a reading rule if you opt not to finish a book that's not resonating with you. Life is finite and we thus have a finite number of books to read. Reading shouldn’t be a chore. You needn’t feel guilty for ensuring that your time reading is spent reading things that you love.

“Order the property evacuated” i.e. putting people on the streets. Turns out some people prefer a terrible apartment to the 20 degree sidewalk.

The City of Reno has suspended the Lakemill Lodge’s business license. The suspension comes after the city and health department ordered the property evacuated because of the presence of drugs and human waste.

Russian River Books & Letters in Guerneville has one of the best short story sections I’ve seen in a while. Highly recommend these two books.
