It's so dumb isn't it? "OH hey, you just bought this durable good. Do you need another one right now?"

I agree with both of you. The problem is that if hosts do that enough times, the people who own the network will fire them, and replace them with someone who doesn't ask people in power pesky, probing questions. Even being able to repeatedly ask those Qs can't happen for the same reason.

We had one in my hometown. Open all year long. You've never seen so many nutcrackers!

Yeah, that was dumb. I'm dumb. Same problem I had with both my shins at the start of the year is happening again with just my right leg.
I'll have to stop for a few weeks or more or try the treadmill which is much less fun.

None of us knew or talked about IBM and the Nazis. I didn't find out until I was in my 30s. The house I grew up in and my babysitters house had to be outfitted with these decontamination vent things b/c the toxic "plume" spread all around the nearby neighborhoods.

It's weird b/c I grew up where IBM started and my mom worked there for 21 yrs before being laid off my senior year. The whole area loved IBM b/c stable, middle-class jobs, and it wasn't until they mostly left that we found out they were also poisoning us by dumping toxic shit everywhere.

If you have to do interviews like that with SUV owners than you really should also ask them: statistically, you are much more likely to kill someone else, particularly a child, through your choice of vehicle. Do you believe this is a morally acceptable choice to make?

I'm not sure car buyers are going to respond well to lower fuel efficiency, especially considering the price of gas isn't getting any lower.

For a small percentage, it's probably the top priority. For the majority, it's probably in the top 3-4, being weighed against looks, safety, and features as a reason to buy. For another small minority (all assholes) it probably isn't a factor at all.
