The histarics are ridiculous. Somehow an independent professional certifing that a development is in line with zoning ends up with unelected people unanimously change the underlying zoning for the whims of developers

At the same time it's venerated by both the right and left, to a smaller extent, in the USA. They don't even suggest it as a system to be copy when they do regime change.

Who would think that reducing fossil fuel uses and not building any additional electricity infrastructure would not work. At least it will keep Hydro-Quebec paying good dividends

I feel like Toronto should have roving streetcar enforcement personnel downtown whose job is to specifically ticket people who break road rules that delay or block the streetcars.

I'm curious how useful this type of poll is. Even if there was only a small number of people polled that wanted to provide unity around PP that choose no to any other CPC candidate skewing the numbers

I'm going to miss the days of southwest providing a good and novel experience instead of just another budget airline. The free first bag alone was worth booking with them 😞

Eglinton LRT was set in motion before Ford was elected and was going to be a mess regardless of government.

At the same time he pushed through the Ontario line faster and longer than any transit enthusiast would have dreamed to propose outside of fantasy maps. I wouldn't vote for him but transit wise I would not be upset with performance.

Feel like they should differentiate between the peak only line but otherwise it's a good transit map

Would the 10% bonus for passive house lead to any appreciable increase in living space or would it mostly go to implementing the additional insulation needs

The difference in the time it takes a streetcar in Amsterdam vs. Toronto to clear an intersection after servicing a nearside stop.

When I lived a 15 minute walk away from the grocery store I would usually tack my grocery shopping on my way back from work or other outing when using transit. It didn't hurt that there was a grocery store by my work and my transfer off the skytrain.

I'm curious if any transit rider advocacy groups have proposed stop consolidation. It seems like it's such a hard thing to get done since the only real people who push for it are the planners and real big transit wonks.

I think it's more of a failing of the media presenting him as an expert in a field that he isn't and him happily going along with it.

I didn't think any spots venues had general admission anymore. I remember going to NHL games as a kid with the standing section

They offered it up on a golden platter for Toronto and the city council didn't even give it a second look. Utterly senseless looking in from Vancouver
