Religion is politics of the unknown ☁️
The things you are liable to read 📖
in the Bible ain’t necessarily so 🔍
It’s a recipe for extremism 🇺🇸
A playbook for tyrants ✝️⚛️
I know we can do better✌️💙☮️

Ingersoll and I would both ask you the same question

Do you think the problem with the wolves is that they aren’t Christians?

Because it doesn’t matter if those wolves themselves are Christians or not

Some are, some aren’t

What matters is that they say they are, and Christian voters believe them

Yes they did and yes it does

Was that because ‘God’ knew what he was doing, or because he did not?

It’s what I’ve seen again and again

Should we be thankful for purity culture?

What do we get from it?

Let me tell you

We get unrealistic expectations

We get irrational phobias

And our country gets cursed with a spiritual despotism as infamous as it is absurd

Should we be thankful for schools where professors swear to believe what they know ain’t so?

Are these schools helping or hindering the cause of education?

On the contrary, both these people are supported by voters who believe hell exists and look forward to seeing their enemies there

Probably not I’m afraid

I don’t have a lot of recommendations except to keep talking about it

If Jehovah had known what he was doing all along, he probably wouldn’t have needed to send Jesus at all, least of all in the form of a bastard

I do not believe in belief

I am satisfied that human rights will be few as long as people believe rights are the prerogative of almighty power

I believe we had better love humanity than pin our hopes and fears on superior beings

Even those that we know are only human

For thousands of years before Christ, heathens knew salvation came not from on high but from the earth and from one another

In the years of his lordship, these truths were intentionally forgotten

Let us remember that we are all interconnected and interdependent and that harm to one affects us all
