2/The goal of the statutes that created this agency is to keep the executive branch from regulating the media. Authoritarian executives like to regulate the media in other countries, and we have always held ourselves out as better governed.

3/ And Court must allow Congress to delegate to its agencies (eliminate executive branch agencies), appoint their leaders to fixed terms, pass laws that include enforcement provisions. In short, constrain Executive Branch.

2/ eliminate filibuster. Term limits on committees. Change hearings from grillings to discussions. More non televised meetings of members in both parties. Hire investigators for Congress to do what Exec Branch won’t do: investigate what needs to be known.

2/ There are law professors at Harvard, economists at George Mason, and other apologists for the right wing clique who really should examine their consciences.

5/ It’s more than ironic that Christians should ally with these agents of greed, and that so many people who believe in community would sign up with these vicious destroyers of any and every kind of community.

4/ This attack — cruel, moronic, massive — on public service has the intent of killing the very idea of public service. These people want everyone to adopt their “ethic”: gain power, money, and control over others at any expense.

3/ If you are one of these agents of destruction your starting assumption is that making money for yourself is more important than serving others. That is the opposite of what motivates people to join the federal workforce.

2/ This is one of their motivations: replace efficient, public service minded people with profit seeking workers doing the bidding not of Congress but autocratic managers who report mostly to no one.
