i was about to say, this is just that rarity episode of MLP where they all drive her nuts lol

sure, if the use case is running all the latest AAA games on release, or running AAA games with anti-cheat, then sure linux is not it.
thankfully that's not something i care about, and everything else is way better. my new HP printer is just plug and play, on win you apparently need an account lol

that's impressive considering all the "do you want to share this and that with microsoft" questions you have to answer during install, and having to make a microsoft account (or pretending you don't have internet to get around it, do they still kindly allow that?)

that is not my experience at all. i install a new linux mint with cinnamon, i customize the interface the way i like and install all my apps. like i would back on win XP. i run an update and install graphics drivers. then it's done? hardware like my drawing tablet etc all just work (unlike on win)

i've used linux mint exlusively since windows XP ended, with no problems. every time i have to interact with modern windows i am shocked at how bad it is. for each new windows i guess they just took away more and more customization and user agency. glad i got out when i did, vista was a warning.
