Eka päättyi valheeseen ja luottamuksen täydelliseen tuhoon, puhumattakaan ihmiskunnan kohtalosta. Olen Petrin kanssa samaa mieltä onnellisten loppujen poissaolosta.

He's got a new film coming out next year called Motor City, which is almost entirely without dialog and relies on his hugely expressive features. I caught it at TIFF and enjoyed the hell out of it. Very warmly recommended! youtu.be/p_mYJtLPb0E?...

I've tried so many things to improve on the algorithm and it just feels like everything I do makes it worse. The whole thing is broken.

My favorite Finnish translation is for the film Ravenous, which became Erämaa syö miestä. It's a pun that literally means: The Frontier Eats Away At You, and it just makes me giggle every time I remember it.

Premiering at Night Visions today, Love is the Monster is an ambitious folk horror tale in the Hammer Film tradition. Unexpectedly creepy, surprisingly sexy, and mostly successful, it's a welcome addition to the genre.

Night Visions: Love is the Monster
★★★ | Ambitious and unexpected, Alex Noyer's second feature doesn't always connect, but its thrills are a welcome addition to the folk horror genre.

No joke I'd pay good cash money for this.

Cera would be far more accurate to the book description of the main character, too. I'd watch the hell out of that.

I didn't realize you worked on this! Auntie's ruminations about age sneaking up on you choked me up. As did the subtlety of mentions about past relations and missed connections coming through half-spoken memories and anecdotes. It felt like picking up strands of conversations with friends.
