I have a deep appreciation for cantankerous old intellectuals, preferably military types, who speak sarcasm, engage in witty banter, and use acronyms to confuse and annoy.

Throughout my husband’s thirty-year military career, I met WWII veterans from the 82nd Airborne & 1-508th PIR. They often spoke of patriotism, democracy, and defending the defenseless. I feel a sense of relief that they aren’t here today to see what has happened to their country under Trump.

If you steal $1000, you can be sent to prison.

When health insurance companies steal over $68,500,000,000, they get tax breaks, subsidies and government contracts, while letting their customers die or go into debt.

But keep blaming immigrants and poor people for rising crime.

Since you’ve decided not to sentence the convicted felon to prison, have you considered using an electronic ankle monitor & probation?
Asking for the 341 million Americans who believe that no one is above the law, and the importance of upholding the sanctity of a jury verdict.

I don’t think people understand how devastating the end of net neutrality, and consumer protections around internet connectivity, are going to be. Imagine the situation where you pay for 4 or 5 different streaming services, each with different “exclusives” — but for the Internet itself.

A comprehensive review of studies, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, confirms that thousands of people die each year because they don't have coverage.

The critical question to consider is how many individuals with health insurance lose their lives each year due to denied claims.

As we draw nearer to January 20th,
I've had a recurring dream of pressing a powerful red reset button, clearing away every member of government across all three branches, creating a blank slate full of endless possibilities to start anew while diabolically laughing.
